Are you feeling stressed? A little bit anxious? š
Most of us, myself included, stress eat.
Oh how I wish I was one of those people who loose weight when they are stressed. Iām not. So take a look at my suggestion for coping mechanism of stress eating. I now choose healthier (but still tasty) options rather then finishing a chocolate or digging in to the ice cream tub. My top 2 favourite stress snacks are: Popcorn šæ and Banana pancakes! š„
So next time you feel like something sweet and satisfying, get up, get movinā, open your cupboards, grab these ingredients and get started!
BANANA PANCAKES
Serves 5 pancakes
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 ripe banana
1 cup oat flour
1 tsp baking powder
Toppings: cinnamon, maple syrup and blueberries
Mix all your ingredients in a blender until smooth. Heat a non stick pan on medium heat. Spray some spray&cook for in-case. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan, spread as thin as possible. When you start to see some bubbles/holes appear then lift the sides of the pancakes and get ready to FLIP! Cook on both sides for about 2-3 minutes. Remove from pan, sprinkle on your cinnamon, roll it up and add your toppings. Enjoy every bite!
