Easter Chocolate Slices

I really don’t know what life would be like without chocolate. Until yesterday, now I really don’t know what my life would be like without tasting these delicious Easter Chocolate Slices!

This recipe is “adapted” from VJCooks.com - EGGCELLENT EASTER SLICE.

Ingredients

Base:

- 200g Cadbury milk chocolate (1.5 large slabs)

- 200g Condensed milk

- 150g unsalted butter

- 1 packet Marie biscuits (crushed)

- 1 cup corn flakes or rice crispies

Toppings:

- 200g Milky bar white chocolate

- 1 tsp olive oil/coconut oil

- 1 bag speckled eggs

- 2 Marshmallow eggs

(You can use whatever topping you enjoy most, Smarties, Astro’s, caramel eggs, etc)

To create the base add chocolate, condensed milk and butter to a microwave-safe bowl.

Heat in 30 second bursts until all the ingredients have melted together and stir well.

Add the crushed Marie biscuits and cornflakes to the melted mixture, stir until everything is mixed. Use a non-stick tray (25cm x 18cm). If you don’t have a non-stick tray then use wax paper or some butter To line the tray. Press the base mixture evenly into the bottom of the tray. To create the topping melt the white chocolate in a microwaveable bowl.

Pour the white chocolate over the base and spread it evenly to the edges.

Cut the marshmallow eggs into small squares. Decorate the top with all your toppings. Chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours. Once set, cut into slices about 4cm x 4 cm each slice. Enjoy as a Easter treat for the whole family.
